Darth Vader and Tobor in 1978

You can read the article here, but the best part of this 1978 Southeast Missourian article about toys for the holidays has to be this shot of Kenner’s large Darth Vader action figure and Schaper’s Tobor electronic robot toy. The sad thing? If given the choice, I’d probably grab Tobor right now. That toy is far more unusual and seventies-specific than the Darth Vader.
