DC Universe Classics Returning to Walmart?
I was in an Austin Walmart yesterday morning and noticed that as part of the reset of the toy aisles they have some paperwork posted here and there. These planograms (see Wikipedia) tell the staff where various products are shelved for display. The shot below shows Power Attack Batman, Dark Knight Rising, and even DC Universe Classics (Amazon.com search*) toys are planned for the reset.
Now didn’t the DC Universe Classics series technically end? (See this post by Poe Ghostal and this post at It’s All True.) So if the line ended then is Walmart just dumping some old stock or is this something new? I really suspect that it’s just old stock found in a warehouse or two, but since I don’t follow Mattel’s DC lines I guess there could have been some announcement or other that I missed.
DC Universe Classics fans, what’s up with the line?

My best guess is that it’s space for the new Batman/ DC unlimited figures, and they’re just using the same stock number and name since they’re both made by Mattel. Either that, or maybe some secret Walmart exclusive figure. Make sure you keep us posted!
I actually work at walmart and yes the are stocking dcuc. it seems as tho it is old stock from the warehouse. ive noticed mix waves from wave 4 to wave 19.
@tavi1979 – Thanks for the confirmation! That’s a pretty wide range of releases.
Yes it is. my guess would be that its all the characters that didnt sell very well. but i will say i have seen more recent waves than any others and no prob for the info.
