Dory’s Rocksteady Rework

Toy customizer Dory has posted pics of his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Rocksteady custom action figure. The pics at the site show the figure from different angles, but I wanted to focus on this one shot that clearly demonstrates why Dory titled this work “A Rhino and Friend.”

I got pretty inspired by the old ninja turtle line of figures by playmates and was really impressed with the amount of sculptural details they had for its time (in fact they’re still pretty good for todays standards, imho) . I’ve decided to revisit a few of my childhood toys, starting first with Rocksteady. I’d like to ‘modernize’ these vintage tmnt figures and hope to do a small series of them in the near future.
