March 14, 1976. This short snippet from the Asbury Park Press newspaper of Asbury, New Jersey, gives us one of our earliest peeks at the Dungeons & Dragons* roleplaying game in mainstream media. I love that it is a college political and debate group at the university that was holding a D&D event. Does this mean we have government officials in power today who played D&D in college over four decades ago?
