“Eagle-Eye G.I. Joe Meets the Intruder” in 1976

A perfect companion to the G.I. Joe Atomic Man advertisement that I shared last month, this 1976 Hasbro G.I. Joe introduces the Intruders, those weird caveman-like creatures that basically spelled the end of the Adventure Team.

Hasbro was clearly desperate by this time in the Adventure Team series, and regardless of how cool this ad looks there was no way that Intruder was going to compete with Kenner’s Six Million Dollar Man or Mego’s World’s Greatest Superheroes. Bye, G.I. Joe. See you soon for Super Joe.
