Electronic Battleship, Simon, Pocket Simon, and Batteries!

This 1984 Children’s Palace advertisement may be as much about selling batteries as it is selling Milton Bradley electronic games. Here we find Electronic Battleship, Pocket Simon, and Simon all at pricey prices, and then the batteries which, looking at this ad, makes me better understand why I didn’t have many electronic toys as a kid. These games have no value at all after the batteries died, and we all know that those 1984 batteries didn’t last all that long. $4 for every new pack of batteries for Electronic Battleship adds up fast!
