Exclusive World War Robot Dropcloth Already Gone
Big Bad Toy Store recently listed several Japanese exclusive toys at their site including a special Japan Defense Force Dropcloth that is, unfortunately, already sold-out at the site. And despite the $350 price tag I can’t say that I’m surprised that this exclusive World War Robot* action figure is already gone. I reviewed the EMGY Dropcloth last year and it still stands out as one of 3A Toys’ best works so far.
World War Robot* completists are no doubt gnashing their teeth in pain and frustration about this release, but I learned long ago that when it comes to this series you should never try to be a completist. Instead, just select a colorway you like and go for it. After all, between the difficulty of scoring some of the pieces and the number of repaints you’re better off with one or two of each of the cooler robot designs than you are an army of nearly-identical robots.
The world renown artist Ashley Wood’s company ‘ThreeA Toys’ is releasing these two figures of the ‘JAPAN DEFENSE LEAGUE’ as a special Japan-only release. The set features Japanese versions of both the Dropcloth and Square robots – both meticulously designed with stunning paint work that creates a unique weathered look.
ThreeA’s magnificent figures will drag anyone into the world of robot figures – don’t blame us if you want more after this one!
