Exosquad Box Opened, Sticker Application in Progress
There was something in the cartoon and toy waters back in the early nineties. Not only was there a Battletech cartoon and toy line (last mentioned here) but there was also the Exosquad series (Amazon.com search*) which included not only an animated series but also a line of toys from Playmates.
This morning I popped open a sealed Exosquad toy and started assembling the toy and applying all of the stickers. I got some good photos of the box and the next step, once the final sticker is in place, is to start playing with the toy with an eye toward posting a review. It sure is fun opening toys that have spent two decades unloved and the biggest surprise so far is that all of the sound and light effects still work great.
You can find information and on Exosquad at Wikipedia and visit both the Virtual Toy Chest and Super Toy Archive for photos of the toys. If you need more then CollectionDX has an Exosquad section that currently has two toy reviews.

Very much looking forward to this review! I absolutely LOVED the Exo-Squad series! It was quite ambitious and “adult” for a child’s show. Many people quote Batman: The Animated Series as one of the best cartoons from the ’90s, which it is, but Exo-Squad should be right there behind it!
Awesome! I can’t wait for this review. I loved the cartoon and had a bunch of the toys back in the day. By the time they came out, I had a part time job, so was actually able to buy some of these. Can’t wait to see/hear your thoughts.
Deff under-rated show. Matched Robotech in it’s adult orientated storytelling and content.
The photos are taking some time; I may have shot too many of them and I’m working on the review around Transforming Collections so the review likely won’t happen until late in the week.
