Fisher Price Adventure People and Star Wars?
If you haven’t flipped through Sansweet’s Star Wars: 1,000 Collectibles* then you’re missing out on a fun book of photos and stories about a massive Stars Wars collection packed with obscure, unique, and wonderful stuff. Stuff like custom Star Wars action figures built on Fisher-Price Adventure People action figures. Why was this done? Because an early promotional shot of Star Wars action figures used kit-bashed toys made from Fisher-Price Adventure People action figures.
For more info on the kit-bashing process Kenner used for their Star Wars line, as well as the only known photo of the original Star Wars Adventure People prototypes, I point you to Kit-Bashed Figure Prototypes from French Advertising at theswca.com. Just be careful that you don’t click any of the links on that page or you may be lost for hours.
