“Free Foreign Stamps! From Nestle’s Quik!”
If you’re seriously into Nestle’s Quik (find at Amazon.com*) then you’re gonna love this 1959 advertisement from Boys’ Life magazine. The combination of postage stamp collecting — do kids even get into that these days? — along with a free combo of catalog and comic book make this a snapshot of a time unlike today. Seriously, gang, just how many kids would be excited by the idea of foreign postage stamps today? I’m betting the answer is: Almost zero.
