“Free Hot Wheels Car” in 1982
You may remember last week’s post about a similar offer from 1981, but when you look closely you will find this 1982 advertisement is a completely different deal. Out of the May 24, 1982, issue of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazzette comes this ad from Mattel for a chance to win big by buying Hot Wheels toy cars (Amazon.com search*). A real car? A trip to Six Flags? An Intellivision? Man, kids in the eighties got all of the cool stuff!
And just how many other Hot Wheels ads along this same style were released in the eighties? I had better keep searching the newspaper archives!
