Funko Explodes ReAction Figures Across Our Wallets
So I returned from vacation to mail that the Funko ReAction Figure series of vintage Kenner-style 3.75-inch scale action figures has exploded, with something like sixty of so different toys announced. And at $10/each I am waiting to see just how many people dive right in and pre-order every single figure that looks fun. This Masked Predator* at Entertainment Earth is only one of the announced toys . . . I’m still sifting through everything. And I cannot wait to see the Funko booth at NYTF next week.
At the very least I’ll have to try the Predator, Terminator, Escape from New York, and Back to the Future figures in the series. And if this is what they share before NYTF what surprises does Funko have for us at the show? Is it too much to hope that my dream of Star Wars ReAction Figures will come true?

I’m just glad I’ve got another figure for my Quentin Tarantino collection.
@Justin Mohareb – Pulp Fiction surprised me. If Funko had announced this line before then I missed it . . . too busy drooling about the other stuff I suppose.
I ordered Snake Plissken (sans jacket) and Chrome T-800, plus Mal Reynolds (sight unseen!).
I’m excited to get them, but I’m more than a little confused now regarding the scultps. I thought they were aiming to make them look like 70s Kenner. So far the scultps (save for the Nightmare Before Christmas) look like bulked up/cartoon-y 90s figures. I was really hoping they’d look closer to the Alien ReAction figures.
Here’s hoping that they refined them by the time NYC Toy Fair rolls around.
@Jay – I suspect the sculpts will be all over the place. Makes me wonder if there was any planning put into “this movie is from 1984, this is what Kenner was doing in 1984” or if it’s kinda random.
I’m most excited about that rocketeer! The Snake looks fun also. I hope we get robocop! The predator entices me the most (its my favorite movie) because of the possibility for the commando team! Please, Funko, make them7
@Matthew M – A Robocop would be great! I suppose an ED-209 in this series would be a little too much to hope for.
Now I’m wondering where the A-Team, Knight Rider, Street Hawk, and Airwolf toys are at.
@Phillip, ug, that’s depressing. Here I thought they were selling everyone on the fact the figures were going to be in the classic Star Wars style. Here’s hoping someone at Toy Fair will ask them about it.
