G.I. Joe and Transformers at Mervyn’s in 1986
That Mervyn’s Battlechargers ad that I posted a few days ago gave us one illustration of Runabout. Now, thanks to the newspaper archives, we get a second Mervyn’s ad showing a different Runabout illustration. Today’s ad — from the August 25, 1986, issue of the Albuquerque Journal — also includes Hasbro’s G.I. Joe action figures, making this an ad that will leave you torn: Do you search for Transformers or G.I. Joe toys on eBay today?
