G.I. Joe Bivouac Battlestation Blueprints and Instructions
I’m telling you, someone in the G.I. Joe team at Hasbro in the eighties was a genius. That Bomb Disposal Vehicle we looked at a few days ago wasn’t the only small set the company released for the G.I> Joe line. This Bivouac Battlestation (question, why is “Battlestation” spelled as one word on the blueprint and two words in the 1984 pack-in catalog?) gave us a small tent/camp for our G.I. Joe action figures and, seriously, how awesome is that?!?!
I love how Hasbro even went so far as to include tools and a weapon with the set, knowing that kids would want more than a small tent and cot for their allowance money. This set is sweet as hell, but then all of the small 1984 Battle Stations and Battlefield Accessories are works of art and gave kids a great play experience back when G.I. Joe dominated sales in the eighties.
