G.I. Joe “Operation Space Station” Contest
If you’re still buying Hasbro’s G.I. Joe action figures and vehicles (Amazon.com search*) today then you’re probably familiar with this 1987 flyer for the second “Live the Adventure” contest. Kids in 1987 had a chance at winning a Defiant space shuttle (see yojoe.com), and even today this stands out as one of the largest toys in a line known for some monster playsets and vehicles.
I made sure to share this at a high-resolution so that every little detail can be enjoyed. Click through to Flickr and marvel at the amount of work Hasbro used to put into their G.I. Joe line.
(And yes, I broke the seal on the flyer to get at the stuff inside. One less “perfect” copy of this out there in the world now.)
