“G.I. Joe Skystriker now $18.88” in 1984

The Hasbro G.I. Joe Skystriker is one of the coolest toy vehicles of the eighties, standing taller than many of the Kenner Star Wars vehicles of that time and still holding up as a playable, massive combat jet. This 1984 newspaper ad shows the Skystriker on sale for its second Christmas, and even a year after release, the jet held its price and was in big demand. As someone who played with a Skystriker as a kid, I can confirm that this was one hell of a great toy.
