Gauntlet Hand-Held Video Game at ToysRUs in 1989

I don’t often post about the hand-held electronic video games of the seventies and eighties for one simple reason: I never really had these toys back when I was a kid. I was way too into Star Wars — and then Transformers and G.I. Joe — to invest my allowance and gifts in electronic games, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t happily take the Gauntlet game shown in this ad if I had the chance to find one for a reasonable price. I bet the gameplay is pretty weak, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be fun to give this old game a shot.
