“Get a Free Mask Now!”
What I remember most about the Manhunter comic series of the eighties was that the main thrust seemed to be chasing down super-villains. I’ve not read these comics in many years (I think there’s a complete set around the house), but a quick search online led me to this excellent Tumblr post which has me now wanting to dig out the books and read them again.
“The Manhuner series was brilliantly written as a detective/espionage thriller. The premise of the series is: Mark Shaw, in an effort to make money and clear the Manhunter name, decides to use his abilities and powers (a bionic face mask and a high-tech baton) to hunt down and capture escaped super-villains at large.”
How can any of us resist that concept?

Such a good book. It lost a bit when Doug Rice left, but remained a strong part of the line through it too early cancellation.
