Get in on the Action with Action Master Transformers
There was a time when I thought that the Transformers Action Master series (see the TF Wiki) was a terrible crime against transforming robot toys. But these days I look at these non-transforming Transformers toys and realize that there are actually a few nice character designs and some very cool Targetmaster figures hiding inside the series.
But none of that changes the fact that this commercial is truly terrible. Entertaining, yes, but still terrible.
I actually always liked the action masters, primarily because they looked like they did in the cartoon, and I could play with the characters and not worry with all of that fiddly transforming stuff. Plus by the time they came out I could find the characters I loved that I didn’t have when they were out. such as sound wave.
@Ashley – You were a smarter kid than I was, then. All I could focus on when these came out was that they didn’t transform. And now they’re so expensive I’m better off just forgetting they even exist.
Yeah I didn’t actually have any as a kid. a few years after the line was finished I got one or two, but I always thought the concept was cool.
