Glyos Block Reveal Coming Soon
The latest post at the Glyos Transmission Web Log shows a couple more teaser images of the upcoming Glyos System vinyl toy, The Block, and promises that soon we’ll see the entire toy. Having already played with the toy a few times now — I got my first look at it back in October — I think there are a few points I can make safely that should give everyone something to think over while waiting for the full reveal.
- Building – As its name implies, The Block is a building toy. Stack several together to form a tower, line up two or three to create a wall, or design a paper backdrop and use The Block as a base to create your own cardboard and plastic playset. And with a hairdryer, dremel, and a hobby knife you can further customize the toy by cutting out pre-marked spots where other Glyos System vinyl toys can be brought into your creation.
- Sarcophagus – In the interview posted at Plastic and Plush Matt Doughty says:
“It serves as a homage to the capsules that the Microman/Micronauts used . . . “
So The Block can act as a container or tiny vehicle for your Glyos System action figures. And if you combine this with the customization options things start to get . . . weird.
But rather than chatter on about the toy — or about how I spent far, far too many hours assembling multiple Blocks together to create a base-like piece that I really should have photographed — I’ll instead leave you to use your imagination as we wait for the full reveal. And get your cash ready for the release which is coming soon.

Have you gotten any indication what number their initial production run will be on these?
@Court – I’ve no idea. Likely not enough for the initial demand, but I suspect these are something that the guys at Onell will try to keep in stock as best they can.
I’m already exercising my fingers in preparation for typing “quantity 15” and then clicking purchase the instant these go up for sale. I need enough to build a base.
The size looks good not only for Glyos toys but maybe some neat 40k terrain.
