Glyos Custom – Silver Soviet Exellis

I was digging through my Glyos System bits bin last night and slowly assembled a figure. As I looked at him I decided that a little silver paint would really improve the design. Here’s what came out of playing around.

Not quite as nice as the official customs — the photo shows some spots where I need to add more silver paint and I should paint a few more spots on him — but overall not a bad custom figure.

  1. This kinda makes me want to play Red Alert 2 again.

Anyone up for ‘shopping him into an old Soviet-era propaganda poster?

  2. I’m now debating on whether or not I should give him a gloss coat. My only fear is the gloss coat may fuse his joints and make him unplayable. I wonder how Matt gloss sprays his Glyos customs without fusing the parts together.

  3. Take him apart and spray the individual pieces. When it cures, pop him back together. Ta da!

I’m not sure how the gloss coat will react with the unpainted PVC though… sometimes it makes unpainted plastic tacky. Test it on some extra junk pile bits before doing it to the figure.
