Glyos System Heavy Armored Block Trooper Illustrated
A few days ago I posted a shadowed image of the “Samurai” Glyos System Heavy Armored Block Trooper (post here). Today I’m happy to report that there’s now a clearer digital illustration of the “Samurai.” Why that name and why these colors? It’s immediately obvious to Transformers Generation One fans: yes, it’s Bludgeon-inspired!

Colors look great, but never understood Bludgeon’s stroke.
He played a major role in the end of the original Marvel run, and even in IDWs Universe he and the other pretenders are pretty important.
Maybe cause he was a Ninja robot? hehe
A SKELETON ninja robot. 😀
It’s funny, he’s become such a popular second-stringer character & I never even saw the toy when I was a kid. The only Pretender in that size category I got was Octopunch, and that was because as a kid who loves monsters & aquatic life forms, Octopunch was just a better pick over a wrestler & a skeleton saumurai.
Now I really want to see this build with that small part from the Warp Bike attached as a head. I think it’d fit perfectly if painted white.
I need to make one of these for myself.
@Court – why is any character important? The writers just decide on someone.
There is probably an alternate universe where the most important Decepticon is Gutcruncher.
@DK – yeah thats a good point, writes perspective and all, just an odd pick.
I mean Jetfire, sure, any of the Gesalt teams, i get it, just anything involving Pretenders is mucky to me hehe.
@Bah’glenn – seems i only had the autobot ones, and the established ones at that. Grimlock, Jazz etc, never had the cooler ones like Dreadwing, now theres a guy that people love to write about!
