GoBots, Sectaurs, and Transformers at Sears in 1985
December 18, 1985. This 1985 newspaper ad block may look like it’s only offering up Tonka’s GoBots and Coleco’s Sectaurs, but look closely at the text and you’ll quickly find that the Transformers toys were also listed on sale in the ad. We’ve seen better ads for Jetfire before (here and here), but I wasn’t about to let this one slip away.
