Hasbro Including Comics in Transformers: Combiner Wars Wave Two
More news on Hasbro’s Transformers: Combiner Wars series (Amazon.com search*) as comic books return to Transformers toys! In Each Sold Separately (Kickstarter page) I dedicated one section to comics packed in toys, and it’s awesome to see Hasbro again include comic books with their toys.
We last saw comics in Transformers toys with the 2013 Transformers Generations toys (Amazon.com search*) so this isn’t exactly a completely new development for the toys, but with the first Combiner Wars toys void of comic books I had assumed this was over. Nice to see comics in toys again . . . maybe Hasbro will extend this into their Star Wars line for the movie toys released later this year.

Oh this looks cool. I am really keen for the Aerialbots 🙂
This is great. I always felt that the comic books were a terrific alternative to other “value added” gimmicks like battery-powered giant guns or “Mech Tech” weapons that end up in my parts bin anyways. I saw the absence of the comics from wave 1 as yet another cost cutting measure, and with new retail price increase the return of the freebie book is more than welcome. Also, how amazing does this entire line look? Hasbro is back, baby!
