Heads and Holgas at Austin Art Garage

Next week is the Heads and Holgas event at Austin Art Garage. With art by Cory Ryan and Hope Perkins, this unusual combination and taxidermy and photography looks like it could be fun.

“Vintage taxidermy critters and cameras are coming back to life in a big way this November at the Austin Art Garage in the Heads & Holgas exhibit featuring new works by Hope Perkins and Cory Ryan.

A twist of second hand delights, Hope Perkins and Cory Ryan will be creating a refreshingly unique exhibit consisting of Holga photography (80’s toy camera produced in China with unique low-fidelity quality), found object paintings, and beautified recycled taxidermy. You don’t want to miss this one. “

The artist reception is on Thursday, November 12 at 7 pm. (Which is the same night as the Art Night Austin East tour, which is gonna make it a tough night on art fans in Austin.)
