Hong Kong and China Time!
Today’s the day I start the long journey to Hong Kong. I’m racing to the airport now and have more than a solid day of travel to look forward to before I reach my hotel; the journey there and back is really long and it’s only all of the fantastic work — and incredible fun! — that happens on these trips that makes it worth the long flight times.
As with previous years, I’m scheduled for a little time off in Hong Kong on this trip so you can expect me to post photos and maybe some video as I get out and explore the city. As always I’ll try to get a little toy shopping in, and this time I think I’m better prepared than ever since my hotel is on Nathan Road and very near both the Hot Toys shop and that Animate store I’ve been to many times before.
For travel entertainment I’ve got books, the iPod loaded with music, and I’ve even got the iPad and my laptop; maybe I’ll manage to get a little work done on Transforming Expectations during the flight across the ocean. But that all depends on how much room I’ve got to maneuver and how comfortable I can get.
Wish me luck, gang, and I’ll try my best to share some of the sights of Hong Kong with all of you while I’m there.
Safe travels! Can’t wait to see the updates
@Paul – It was a terrible flight (as always), but spending all of yesterday walking the city really made up for things.
I start work in an hour and am pretty well booked solid for the next five days. But then I get all day Saturday for vacation in the city; maybe then I’ll make it to that huge Gundam robot display here in Hong Kong.
