Hot Toys’ “300” 12-Inch Scale King Leonidas

The movie 300* was fun, if only loosely based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel of the same name.** I enjoyed the film, and own it on DVD, but there were a few scenes that were just too over-the-top and required too much “suspension of disbelief” for me to completely love the movie.

I guess someone over at Hot Toys thought a lot more of the movie than I did, though, because they’re launching this 12-inch scale King Leonidas action figure early next year.

This isn’t a figure I’ll want, but the photos really show the quality of work Hot Toys produces. I know their 12-inch scale action figures are expensive, but every single one that they produce looks amazing.
