The world was a very different place back in 1970. How else would you explain this 1970 Hot Wheels advertisement’s appearance in an issue of Life magazine? We’ve seen Hot Wheels ads of the seventies in issues of Boys’ Life (posted here), but for Hot Wheels to appear in a mainstream magazine like Life means Mattel wasn’t afraid to sink some cash into promoting the line to a larger audience.
