Buying a Star Wars costume (Amazon.com search*) is simple these days, with dozens of options released over the last several years. In 1977, though, you may have been forced to create a costume for your own for Halloween . . . just like we see in this 1977 newspaper article. Man, I wish that photo was a bit clearer so we could see the Darth Vader costume a little better.
