Howard Days in June
For a couple of days in June, Gina and I will make the trip to Cross Plains, TX, for Howard Days, a mini-celebration of Robert E. Howard. This is one of those trips that I’ve been meaning to make for a few years now — it’s less than a four hour drive for us — and we’re finally gonna get there.
I am not completely sure what to expect from the event, but I figure that at the very least I’ll have a good time seeing the library, the house, and browsing through the flea market. And the scheduled Conan movie trailers and the panel on historical fiction — the recently-released Sword Woman and Other Historical Adventures* certainly makes it easier to read these stories — sounds like it could be fun.
Anyway, I’ve talked to enough people now who didn’t know of this event that I thought I should share the links. If you’re in Texas around June 10 consider a trip to Howard Days. You can find the details at the REHupa website.
