I Need a Monsterizer to Sleep In
Why? Because then I would glow! Not exactly, but it’s an old toy worth a quick peek.
So what, exactly, is a Monsterizer? Released by Remco in the seventies, this was a toy that made your toys glow-in-the-dark. I assume you had to use a GITD toy to make it work, but the basic idea is kinda neat. And this short video showing the toy being used makes me all tingly; I love those terrible old sounds.
One of the things about this blog that I like is the crazy ass commercials, cartoons and cereals from the early 80s that you post once in a while. Good stuff. Good thing it does not usually result in me wanting to run out and but something.
