“If You’re Game Enough” and the Marvel Super Heroes RPG in 1987
TSR’s Marvel Super Heroes roleplaying game of the eighties (find at Amazon.com*) was one of my favorite games as a kid, and this ad from the back cover of a 1987 issue of Marvel’s Fantastic Four comic book sure sparks some memories. If you’ve never seen the game it is totally worth chasing down; the classic Marvel Super Heroes RPG is worth studying even today as a remarkable introductory RPG.

Before AD&D (2nd Edi.), Star Wars, and Battletech there was Marvel Super Heroes – the perfect starter RPG. Recognizable characters and abilities, plus you were a super hero! Who wouldn’t love that game?
@ShenaniTims – I wish Marvel and Wizards would partner up and create a new edition of this for today’s market. That (the yellow basic box) is still one of the best introductory RPGs ever created.
