Imperial Raider for Fantasy Flight Games’ X-Wing Miniatures Game
Fantasy Flight’s X-Wing miniatures game (Amazon.com search*) keeps growing, with release after release bringing fantastic Star Wars ships into existence and consistently surprising me with new designs and ideas.
Coming up almost immediately (less than a week away!) is the newest massive ship in the game, the Imperial Raider*! Fantasy Flight has posted earlier about the new ship (see The Might of the Empire and The Grand Design at their website), and today I want to direct you to their latest info: The Will of the Empire.
The physical design of the Imperial Raider* is impressive, with a blend of Star Destroyer and TIE Interceptor wings coming together to make this a wicked-looking starship. I’ve no idea if those small TIE Interceptor-like wings house solar arrays or not, but I’m betting there’s some in-universe reason for the design . . . other than just to look awesome.
