Interplanetary Star Fortress Playset in the 1980 Sears Christmas Catalog
I’ve mentioned the Interplanetary Star Fortress playset before (posted here), and even wrote about the toy in Each Sold Separately*, but today I’d like to direct your attention to this 1980 Sears Christmas catalog page. That playset looks incredible! It can’t be that tough to find one at a reasonable price today, right?

Oh man, I love those little plastic space men! For me, the real prize would be a complete set of those Flash Gordon toys. Those vehicles are so cool and weird. Also, I want to see the previous page with the Micronauts Rocket Tubes and that Spider-Man toy. My older cousins had the Rocket Tubes, and I used to have dreams for awhile about playing with them.
