“Introducing Collector Cards as Powerful as the Film that Inspired Them.”
At one time, Impel produced trading cards. Then Impel became SkyBox. Fleer bought SkyBox. Fleer then rolled into Upper Deck. Confused? Yeah, keeping track of where various rights and corporate ownership has fallen over the decades can be challenging to follow.
Fortunately, none of us needs to care at all about the rights to enjoy this Terminator 2 advertisement from Starlog in 1991. The Terminator 2 film (Amazon.com search*) still ranks as my favorite of the Terminator franchise movies, and seeing this decades-old ad inspires hope that the next film is enjoyable. It looks like they’re trying, but I worry that all of the CG in the new movie will detract from the look and story.
I’ll just look back to the past and smile.
