“It’s Clobberin’ Time” with the Marvel Super Heroes RPG
Before it became a house organ, Games Workshop’s White Dwarf magazine (Amazon.com search*) included coverage and advertising for games from many other companies, and it was from an early 1985 issue of White Dwarf that this TSR ad was found.
Now maybe I’m the only one who feels that TSR’s original Marvel Super Heroes roleplaying game (Amazon.com search*) was the greatest Marvel RPG ever created, but there was something charming about the presentation and design of the game that makes it still a great work of art. It would be fantastic if someone nailed down all of the licensing to bring this game to life again, but that feels unlikely in today’s world.
