It’s the Insecticons!
Yeah, the Transformers cartoon in the eighties certainly benefited from the addition of the Insecticons, and this classic toy commercial shows just how much we (as kids of the age) gained from the robot bugs. It’s unfortunate that the Deluxe Insecticons were never in the cartoon or comics, but thinking back on it I suspect I would have been unhappy with those characters since they didn’t fit the Insecticon color scheme.
I had the Bombshell Insecticon and I loved it. He was my bazooka guy because of his “horn” on the front. In my Transformer battles the bad guys always won because they were bad ass. I had a couple Insecticons and all the Constructicons to form Devistator and it was unstoppable. 🙂 Ah the memories…
