John Bolton’s Alien Work in Unmasked #3
Can anyone out there tell me how many issues of Unmasked were published back in the nineties? Subtitled “The Official John Bolton Magazine,” the only issue I’ve ever encountered is the 1998 Unmasked #3* that is dedicated to Bolton’s work on Aliens and Species. The 40-page comic-sized magazine includes lots of B&W work by Bolton and even features an interview with H.R. Giger. Love it!
Additionally, there’s info on Bolton’s (then) upcoming projects, everything needed to join the official John Bolton fan club, and page after page of quotes from John Bolton discussing his Alien comic covers for Dark Horse Comics. It’s a fascinating magazine, and I’d really appreciate any information you guys have on just how many issues this ran. It sure doesn’t seem to be many, and I’ve yet to locate any website that really discusses the magazine. Help?
