I’ve still never acted on the idea of a book dedicated to Kenner’s action figure lines of the seventies, eighties, and nineties. I should do that one of these days, because Kenner offered a lot of great toylines during those decades, many of which have never been explored closely in print. Maybe next year I’ll get around to that idea.
For now, though, I’d like to direct your attention to this 1978 newspaper ad for Hills department store. All Kenner, all of the time! Play-Doh. Spirograph. Stretch Armstrong. And look at that artwork! They really don’t make ads like this today.
