Kenner Radio-Control R2-D2 on Sale in 1979

I think I posted the best ad that we’ve yet seen for the Radio-Control R2-D2 toy back in 2015, where we also saw a handful of the Kenner Star Wars 12-inch action figures on sale for $8.44 and $11.77/each. That ad was also from 1979, but today’s ad shows R2 for a few bucks more than the other. Regardless of $28 or $30, I can happily say I would pay twice that amount today for a sealed Radio-Control R2-D2 . . . and I am sure there are others who would pay much more than that.
