Kenner’s Star Wars Collection Sale at JCPenny in 1980
One of the most common questions I get about my two books of Star Wars newspaper ads of the seventies and eighties (Collect These Figures and Accessories* and A Galaxy of Action Figure Savings*) is: Do you think you have found all of the ads for Kenner’s Star Wars action figures?
Nope! As proven by this 1980 JCPenny advertisement. Good. I hope there turns out to be an infinite supply of these old ads, that way the entertainment never stops. I know that isn’t possible, but it is still fun to stumble across an unexpected ad and see what the toys sold for decades ago.
