Kickstarter – Escape Update
Just a few days ago I posted about a new Kickstarter project, Escape . . . from the Temple Curse, and the game has already met its goal. Nice! And as a way of showing thanks the publisher, Queen Games, is including the game’s first expansion in the copies that are shipped to the Kickstarter project supporters.
Rather than just thank you in words, we would also like to thank you all with a big bonus! In addition to Escape and the first promo, we are giving every backer the entire first Escape expansion for free for each copy of Escape purchased! The expansion will come packaged in your Escape box, so you will receive everything but the box for the expansion. Otherwise, the first expansion will not be available until September, so you will be receiving the expansion materials a full three months early!
This is how to run a Kickstarter campaign. The project organizers are sharing regular updates with supporters, answering questions at places like BoardGameGeek, and generally staying on message and providing supporters with cool stuff like this bonus expansion. Very nice, and if I ever run a Kickstarter project I hope I can do half as well as they are.
