Kickstarter – The New Adventure People!
I reviewed the Bionic Bigfoot action figure from Zica Toys a few years ago (review here) and thought they did a great job with the retro-like design. Well, it seems Zica wants to tackle more classic-styled action figures . . . and they’re ready for our help. The Adventure People project at Kickstarter launched a few days ago, and it’s now time for the company to get out there and tell the world.
A few things caught my eye:
- Adventure People – Yep, Zica Toys has appropriated the name of the old Fisher-Price action figure line. I ran a quick USPTO search and see that Zica filed the Adventure People trademark. Sorry, Mattel, but this is a line you should have relaunched when you had the chance.
- Action Jackson – Wait, what? Damn, things are blurring now. We’ve got Adventure People, Captain Action, and Action Jackson all under a single umbrella with this project. Cool!
The project ends February 29, so take a look and then join in if you’re interested in 3.75-inch scale Adventure People action figures. Hopefully, Zica posts more info on the line soon, because what’s there isn’t loaded with enough details to really excite $50,000 worth of support.
