Kotobukiya Shows a New Captain America
Kotobukiya has released photos of a new Captain America statue that shows off a completely new helmet design for one of my favorite superheroes. There’s no telling where the character design came from (check out those great boots), but many are speculating that this is the costume design for Marvel’s upcoming Captain America movie.
I just realized that we’re likely to get 3.75-inch scale Captain America action figures once the new movie hits. Okay, that could be very cool and our best chance to get some of the more obscure Cap villains. I hope Hasbro doesn’t change their focus on Marvel Universe over the next couple of years; it would suck if the Captain America movie action figure line was in a different scale.

It’s actually been made clear that the outfit comes from the Reborn storyline in the comics. This isn’t to say that they won’t borrow from that for the movie, but it’s really too early to tell. Most definitively, however, this design does come from the comics.
Impressive statue! If the movie design were to look even a tiny bit as cool as this, I’d go goofy-nuts!
