Lanard’s “The Corps” Lawsuit in 2005
Lanard’s The Corps action figures and vehicles (find at Amazon.com*) continue to get a decent shelf presence at Walmart, which is more than we can say for Hasbro’s G.I. Joe. I suspect that it’s the low price of The Corps that keeps it on shelves, but for some added fun this morning here’s a 2005 newspaper article where we see one of Lanard’s toys in a bit of a legal headache with General Motors.
It turns out that the Corps ATK Vehicle* was just a little too close in design to GM’s Hummer, and for that reason the two companies went to court. A brief article, but for more on the subject check this hisstank.com forum post.
