Laser Rifle Carry Case in The Ultimate Guide to Vintage Star Wars Action Figures, 1977-1985
When you surround yourself with over sixty different action figure carrying cases of the seventies, eighties, and nineties, a few are sure to stand out and capture your favor, right? Well, I can happily report that Kenner’s 1984 Star Wars Laser Rifle Carry Case has fast become one of my favorites of the bunch. The concept is wonderful, and hefting the toy gives a pretty satisfying feeling and makes me respect this design more than ever.
If you want to know more about this classic carrying case I suggest starting with this page from Mark Bellomo’s The Ultimate Guide to Vintage Star Wars Action Figures, 1977-1985*. Google Books has more sample pages, but the title is so much fun that you’re really better off ordering a copy today. Seriously, this is a great book dedicated to Kenner’s classic Star Wars line and it needs to be in your personal library. I have referred to this title dozens of times in the last month alone!
