Legends of Cthulhu Kickstarter Project Unlocks “Conjured Cthulhu” Action Figure
The Legends of Cthulhu Kickstarter project continues to astound me. The project opened earlier this week and has already unlocked their first stretch goal, a translucent green Cthulhu action figure that’s a bonus for everyone who pledges $90 or more to the project. That means your $90 pledge now scores you a total of five Kenner-style action figures . . . and at the rate the project is going I fully expect a few more of the stretch goals will be unlocked before this closes.
Best of all, though, is that in the update announcing the special Cthulhu the project mentions the old Fisher Price Adventure People action figures. Really? That just shows how much these guys love the action figures of the late seventies and early eighties.
Come on, next stretch goal!
I already backed Skeleton Warriors and the Elemental girls line, but I fear that before long I’ll be backing this and Vitruvian Hacks as well.
What am I saying? Of course I will! I love this idea of cutting out the retail middleman who constantly demands more Snake Eyes, Spiderman, and Wolverine in lieu of new characters and properties!
@Barbecue17 – What I fear is a flood of Kenner-like figures on Kickstarter now. Can I resist?
I’m definitely not a fan of the price point on the line, but these figures are dang hard to resist.
Did you guys see the announcement for the 12″ Cthulhu stretch goal?!
