Live the Adventure With this 1990s Spawn Toy Commercial
Everyone remembers there was a time when McFarlane Toys created Spawn action figures, right? Before the days of sports, Halo, and The Walking Dead action figures dominated the McFarlane Toys catalog there were Spawn action figures being produced constantly; it almost felt like there was a new wave of toys each quarter there for a few years during the late nineties.
And, as this commercial shows, the company even put effort into advertising the line to more than just the comic geeks in the stores. This commercial feels a bit more dated than some others from the mid-nineties, but it’s far superior to any of the action figure commercials I’ve seen from McFarlane Toys over the past decade. Actually, have there even been any McFarlane Toys commercials over the last decade?
Yeah, toy manufacturers need to get busy promoting action figures if they want to recover shelf space in the major chains.

I love this commercial, if only for the fact there was nothing child friendly about Spawn. I can’t say I’ve ever seen it televised though.
@Chris – I don’t ever remember seeing this on TV. I assume it would have been on Fox in the mid-nineties. I doubt McFarlane could have afforded to appear on one of the major networks.
