LJN’s Dungeons & Dragons Action Figures Only $0.97/Each in 1985
We’ve drooled over the LJN Dungeons & Dragons action figures of the eighties before. A few of the cooler posts include this 1983 advertisement, this old comic book ad, and even an overview of the line.
In order to keep the line in our minds I grab and share info as I find it, and that brings us to this 1985 Fred Meyer newspaper ad. This is from after the line was completely dead at retail, meaning that the prices listed for the Dungeons & Dragons action figures and mounts are so low that it’s almost painful to see the ad. Figures for under a buck apiece? Mounts for $2.47/each? The only thing that would have made this even worse would have been if the Fortress of Fangs playset had appeared on sale.
