“Making Mars Attacks – The Dice Game A Finished Product”

Over at BoardGameGeek I continue talking about the upcoming Mars Attacks: The Dice Game with the fourth in a series. “Making Mars Attacks – The Dice Game A Finished Product” discusses how the game went from a rough mockup set to the finished files ready for print, revealing the (not-so-much) secret world of game design where playtest games are taken from their draft form to a finished game.

One of the challenges of game publishing is that by the time the finished work is reaching stores you’re already operating six months to a year ahead; right now my focus in games is more on the new games that we’re working on for next year and not the games that are just now reach shelves. Writing this series of posts at BoardGameGeek has really helped me to return my focus to the Mars Attacks: The Dice Game and with the finished game in my hands I can really appreciate all of the work our staff put into taking this all of the way from idea to a completed box.
